Once the zoo with its animals has left the Hoofdstraat, the site will be transformed into a park for the people of Emmen.
This area development will include a new 55-hectare 'experiential park', an innovative sustainable zoo and an ultra-modern theatre.
A new square over the below-grade Hondsrugweg will create a connection between the new experiential park and the ‘people park’.
